Texas voters approved nearly all of the 17 proposed constitutional amendments on Tuesday, showing broad support for measures focused on public infrastructure, schools, and family rights.

According to unofficial results from the Texas Secretary of State, 16 of the 17 amendments passed statewide. Approved measures include creating a state fund for water infrastructure, expanding funding for research and higher education, and adding parental rights to the state constitution.

Only one amendment appeared to fall short, with voters in several counties rejecting it by narrow margins.

Local elections also saw strong participation. In San Antonio, voters in the North East Independent School District approved two major bond propositions for school upgrades and maintenance, while two smaller athletic-related measures did not pass.

Elsewhere, Bexar County voters weighed in on two propositions related to a proposed downtown arena and entertainment project, with final results expected soon.

Turnout was steady for an off-year election. State officials said final certified results will be released after county canvassing is completed later this month.
