Don’t Mess With our Kids Rally Texas State Capitol!
Video Report:
The non-profit organization, “Don’t Mess With Our Kids,” ( https://www.dontmesswithourkids.us/ ) organized rallies at state capitols across the United States on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Their primary objective is to raise awareness about the significance of religion and safeguarding children.
In Austin, Texas, approximately 1,500 individuals gathered, each adorned in pink and blue to signify support for the genders they were assigned at birth. This event wasn’t intended as a political demonstration but rather as a moment for communal fasting and prayer concerning the state of affairs in the country.
Founded in 2021 by Jenny Donnelly, a concerned mother from Portland, Oregon, this US-based organization originated from observations she made in her hometown. However, the origins of this movement trace back to South America in 2016, where there was a push for radical transformations in gender identity.
The movement, known as “Con mis hijos no te metas” (CMHNTM) in Spanish, which translates to “Don’t mess with my Children,” emerged in Lima, Peru, on December 26, 2016. It arose in opposition to the Peruvian government’s gender development policies in education and other public administration areas, which were incorporated into the 2017 national curriculum. You may be wondering how and when these gender policies first got started. In an article from the National Catholic Register they explained the origin of this actually came from the UN and UNESCO!
In 2011, UNESCO convened an international meeting in Paris on “homophobic bullying in educational institutions” and began interpreting the EFA goal regarding equal access to education as having special application to “LGBT” students.
This initiative culminated in UNESCO’s report “Out in the Open,” funded by the government of the Netherlands for close to $400,000, accompanied by a ministerial meeting, and a video (co-sponsored by Norway) This was a new commitment to develop “inclusive” curricula, materials and monitoring tools against “homophobic and transphobic violence.”
