Nearly 200 Local Artists. One Month. One Roof. Austin’s Blue Genie May Market Is Back.

The Blue Genie Art Bazaar’s sixth annual May Market runs every Friday through Sunday plus Memorial Day — a full month of handcrafted art, gifts, and goods you won’t find anywhere else.

One weekend isn’t always enough. The Blue Genie Art Bazaar knows that — which is why their sixth annual May Market gives you an entire month to shop, browse, and support the artists who make Austin one of the most creative cities in the country.

Nearly 200 regional artists and artisans set up under one roof at 6100 Airport Boulevard from May 1 through June 1, open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday plus Memorial Day. Fine art, sculpture, handmade jewelry, ceramics, textiles, home goods, unique gifts — the range and quality of what you’ll find here rivals a high-end art fair, with the relaxed atmosphere of a neighborhood market.

Why This One Is Different

The Blue Genie May Market isn’t a pop-up with twenty vendors and a food truck. It’s a fully curated, month-long experience built around artists who live and work in the Austin area. Nearly 200 of them. That means you can come back week after week and still find something new — a piece you missed the first time, an artist who restocked, or a gift idea that didn’t exist on your last visit.

It is also one of the most practical art shopping experiences in the city. No crowds fighting for space at a two-day festival. No pressure to decide before the booth closes. Just open hours, good art, and the time to actually look.
