AUSTIN — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has named eleven Assistant Attorneys General of the Year from the Child Support Division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General, recognizing one honoree from each of the state’s ten child support regions and one from the division’s state office, according to the attorney general’s office.
According to Paxton’s office, the annual awards recognize attorneys who “consistently go above and beyond” in their work on behalf of children and parents served by the Child Support Division. Honorees are nominated by peers and supervisors who observe their work firsthand, the office said.
“These Assistant Attorneys General exemplify the best of public service. Their dedication and compassion ensure that Texas children receive the support they deserve,” Paxton said in a statement. “Their service strengthens families across Texas. I am proud of their commitment and professionalism, which embodies the mission of my office.”
This year’s honorees
According to Paxton’s office, the 2026 Assistant Attorneys General of the Year, by region, are:

Region 9 (Fort Worth) — Hannah Salami

According to the attorney general’s office, the Child Support Division provides services including locating absent parents, establishing paternity, enforcing and modifying child and medical support orders, and collecting and distributing child support payments to Texas families.
