The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays only, September 26 through November 1, with hours set from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The grounds themselves sit at 2400 Cotton Gin Rd in Uhland, on a property spanning nearly 100 acres total, though the festival itself is concentrated on 15 shaded acres built for exactly this kind of gathering.
Advance single-day tickets run $16.50 through September 25, including ticketing fees, before jumping to $20 once the festival opens. Families planning multiple visits can grab a multiday pass for $27.50, good for all 12 days across the six weekends. Kids 5 and under, seniors 65 and older, active-duty military, veterans, and first responders all get in free with proof of eligibility, and parking is free as well, with room for nearly 2,000 vehicles.
Once inside, the festival unfolds across a dozen themed fun zones with names that lean fully into the farmstead’s frontier roots: The Pumpkin Patch, The Barnyard, Coyote Creek, Frontier Forest, Kinderville, Munchie Meadows, Outlaw Hollow, and the Trading Post, among others. The Barnyard alone offers a real hands-on animal experience, with camel rides, pony rides, a Texas Longhorns encounter, and a parakeet experience available for a small add-on fee, alongside a complimentary petting zoo included with admission.
Daily programming keeps things moving throughout each weekend. Wild Things Zoofari puts on animal shows every day of the festival, and Saturdays wrap up with a Colored Smoke Show right before closing. Food and beverage options starting at $5 keep snacking affordable, and the festival’s massive pumpkin and gourd patch gives families plenty to pick from before heading home.
Past editions of the festival have also leaned into weekend-specific themes, past years have featured lineups like Bubble Extravaganza, Pumpkin Jamboree, Indigenous Traditions, a Polka Party weekend, Pioneer Palooza, and Butterfly Jubilee, giving repeat visitors a genuine reason to come back more than once across the six-week run.
The festival started life as the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival before rebranding and relocating to its current historic farmstead home, and it’s quickly become one of Central Texas’s go-to fall traditions for families in the Austin, Kyle, Buda, Lockhart, and San Marcos area.
