Ahead of a sold-out luncheon that’s raised nearly $400,000 for the National Cowgirl Museum in years past, guests get first dibs on Western fashion, jewelry, and home décor at this year’s Rock n’ Roll-themed kickoff party.
River Crest Country Club, Fort Worth, TX — Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 5:00–8:00 p.m.
Fort Worth’s biggest fashion fundraiser of the year kicks off with a party before the party even starts. The Desert Rose Rock n’ Roll Shopping Preview Party opens the doors to this year’s Desert Rose season, giving guests first access to a curated shopping marketplace ahead of the following day’s sold-out luncheon, all in support of the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame.
Tickets run $30 and the evening runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at River Crest Country Club, located at 1501 Western Ave in Fort Worth. Co-chaired this year by Allie Turney and Kadee Blair, and presented by Maverick Golf & Ranch Club, the preview party gives attendees a first look at a rotating lineup of Western fashion, jewelry, home décor, and lifestyle vendors, paired with cocktails and what organizers are calling the electric energy of this year’s Rock n’ Roll theme. This year’s vendor lineup includes Chasseur, Colores Collective, Bauble Stockings, Brumbaugh’s Furniture & Design, Iota Vintage, Lucchese Bootmaker, Lucky Gem Club, Orchid and Olive, and Southern Tribute, with sponsorship support from Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott and Lucchese Bootmaker.
The preview party is really the opening act for the main event: the Desert Rose Luncheon, taking place the very next day, September 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., also at River Crest Country Club. Described by organizers as the place “where rhinestones meet rock legends and the Wild West collides with pure rock-and-roll rebellion,” the luncheon has become one of Fort Worth’s most anticipated annual fundraisers, and this year’s edition has already sold out.
The event’s track record speaks for itself. Last year’s Desert Rose Luncheon, held under a Dolly Parton theme, raised nearly $400,000 for the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame and drew record attendance. Guests shopped a curated marketplace before heading into a ballroom transformed by hundreds of colorful ribbons into what co-chairs called a Midway-style tent, and the afternoon closed out with musician Matt Gumley and Broadway singer Ryah Nixon leading a Dolly Parton medley, followed by a full-room singalong of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.” Co-chairs Lorene Agather and Sainty Nelsen, both museum board members, have led the luncheon for several consecutive years, describing their goal simply as bringing women from across Dallas and Fort Worth together to celebrate the cowgirl spirit and support the museum’s mission.
Proceeds from Desert Rose support the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame’s educational programming and exhibitions, an institution that’s spent 50 years honoring more than 200 women of the American West, from pioneers and ranchers to artists and rodeo cowgirls.
While tables for the main luncheon are fully booked this year, the Shopping Preview Party remains open to anyone who wants to be part of the Desert Rose energy, shop early, and support a cause that’s become one of Fort Worth’s signature philanthropic traditions.
