Plants n’ pints IS BACK! Get ready for a plant party at Bad Astronaut! This Saturday, July 27th from noon to 5 PM, the Houston Plant Market is transforming Bad Astronaut Brewing into every plant lover’s dream destination.

What You’re Getting Into

When: Sunday, July 27, 12:00-5:00 PM
Where: Bad Astronaut Brew Co., 1519 Fulton St, Houston 77009
The Vibe: Local Houston vendors so come shop, drink, and enjoy being indoors

This isn’t just another plant sale. This event isn’t just about buying gorgeous plants, but you’ll find amazing local vendors with handmade goods, including beautiful jewelry, delicious honey, and other unique finds that you won’t see at the big box stores.

The Perfect Venue

Bad Astronaut Brewery’s 36,000-square-foot brewery and taproom is nestled just north of downtown Houston, making it the ideal spot for this kind of indoor market. Dedicated to making fabulous beer and having a good time, they know how to host a party—and this one comes with plants.

The brewery’s spacious layout gives vendors plenty of room to showcase everything from rare houseplants to handcrafted goods, while you can grab a cold craft beer and browse at your own pace.

More Than Just Plants

While plants are definitely the star of the show, the Houston Plant Market team curates a market full of local Houston vendors that goes way beyond greenery. Expect to find:

  • Unique houseplants from local growers
  • Handmade jewelry from Houston artisans
  • Local honey and artisanal food products
  • Plant care accessories and pots
  • Other locally-made goods that celebrate Houston’s creative community

The Plant Community Connection

The Houston Plant Market isn’t just about shopping—they curate local markets around the Houston Area and have grown into something bigger. They’ve installed free plant libraries around Houston that serve as a hub for education and free plant exchanging, with their motto being “If you take a plant, just leave a plant for the next person!”

This market continues that community spirit by bringing together plant enthusiasts, local makers, and craft beer lovers in one awesome space.

Why Saturday Afternoon Works

There’s something perfect about spending Saturday afternoon browsing plants with a craft beer in hand. Bad Astronaut is open Saturday from 11:00 am to 12:00 am, so you can easily make this part of a larger day out in Houston.

The timing—noon to 5 PM—gives you plenty of flexibility to show up when you want, browse at your own pace, and maybe stick around for dinner and more drinks if you find yourself having too much fun to leave.

Getting There

Located at 1519 Fulton St in the 77009 area, Bad Astronaut Brewing is just north of downtown Houston, making it accessible from anywhere in the city. The brewery has established itself as a go-to spot for events like this because they understand that good beer and good community go hand in hand.

The Bottom Line

So, mark your calendars, invite your friends, and join us for an unforgettable evening of plants, pints, and good times! Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent looking to add to your collection or someone who just wants to browse handmade goods while enjoying craft beer, Plants n’ Pints delivers.

This Saturday, skip the typical mall shopping experience. Head to Bad Astronaut Brewing, support local Houston vendors, discover some new plant babies, and enjoy some of the best craft beer in the city while you’re at it.

Your plants (and your Saturday) will thank you for it.
