More Than Just a Fair
Queen’s Pageant Thursday Night
The festivities actually start Thursday evening with the traditional Queen’s Pageant, where local young women compete for the honor of representing Kendall County.
Homestead Heritage Exhibits
Don’t miss the Homestead Heritage Exhibit Hall, where local artisans and craftspeople display their heart and soul through traditional and contemporary creations. These exhibits showcase skills passed down through generations of Hill Country families.
Vendor Village
Shop the best vendors in Texas, offering everything from handcrafted jewelry and artisan goods to authentic Texas foods that’ll make your taste buds sing. The food vendor lineup includes Hill Country classics and fair favorites that satisfy every craving.
A Living Piece of Texas History
This fair started in 1905 when folks needed a central place to gather, exchange ideas, and share news. Today, it continues that tradition on the same 55 acres of live oak-studded land donated by the Ferdinand Ludwig Von Herff Family over a century ago.
The Kendall County Fair Association operates as a 501(c)3 nonprofit with over 2,500 lifetime members, ensuring every dollar raised goes back into preserving this agricultural and cultural tradition for future generations.
