HOUSTON, TX — Houston celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a packed lineup of festivities across the city, from bar crawls and live music to Irish food and green beer.

Highlights included the Houston St. Patrick’s Day Parade, one of the largest in the U.S., drawing crowds downtown.

Houston’s 64th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade took place on Saturday, filling downtown with festive energy as spectators gathered to celebrate Irish heritage.

Among the more than 100 parade entries, a standout performance came from the Falun Dafa group, which captivated the crowd with its elegant display of traditional Chinese culture. Performers dressed in vibrant costumes showcased graceful movements and demonstrated the principles of Falun Dafa—truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance—through a beautifully choreographed routine.

The two-hour event, recognized as one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the U.S., also featured lively floats, marching bands, and cultural performances. Ian Martin led the procession as this year’s Grand Marshal.

Despite a morning cold front, the weather remained pleasant, with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s and a refreshing breeze.
