WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced six additional meat and poultry companies have adopted USDA’s voluntary Product of USA label, with four of the six based in Texas, according to a USDA release.

According to Rollins, the label helps American consumers identify products that are truly born, raised, harvested, and processed in the United States, giving families more confidence that their purchases support American farmers, ranchers, processors, and rural communities.

The newest companies to adopt the label include Creekstone Farms in Kansas, Caviness Beef Packers, CS Beef Packers in Texas, Greener Pastures in Texas, Lone Star Beef Processors in Texas, and Claxton Poultry Farms in Georgia.

Rollins said the Product of USA label is a win for American farmers, ranchers, processors, and consumers, and that companies are continuing to respond to demand for it. She said consumers want to know where their food comes from and deserve labels they can trust, and that every company adopting the label helps strengthen rural America, opens new market opportunities for U.S. producers, and makes it easier for families to support American agriculture when they shop.

According to USDA, the expansion of the Product of USA label fits into a broader strategy from the Trump administration and Rollins aimed at strengthening the domestic livestock industry by supporting independent ranchers, family farmers, and domestic meat and poultry processors. USDA said the initiative helps producers and processors compete and grow while meeting rising consumer demand for American-raised meat.

The label initiative also complements USDA’s Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers Program, a $500 million investment aimed at helping small and mid-sized beef processors preserve and expand domestic processing capacity. Together, USDA said, the two efforts are meant to strengthen the country’s meat supply chain, expand opportunities for U.S. producers, and increase consumer access to American-raised products.

USDA said it continues to see strong interest from processors nationwide, with more companies expected to adopt the Product of USA label in the coming months as consumer demand for authentic American-produced meat and poultry keeps growing.
