  • H-E-B to build two new San Antonio-area stores
    Grocery chain H-E-B announced plans for a $29 million super-store on the Far Westside of San Antonio and a $21.2 million location in Schertz, each featuring a fuel station, car wash, and expanded services. Both sites are expected to open by late 2026, signaling the company’s continued growth in high-demand corridors.

  • Severe storms knock out power across Texas
    A line of powerful storms swept through the state Friday night, bringing heavy rain, wind gusts over 60 mph, confirmed tornado damage in parts of north Texas, and leaving more than 260,000 customers without power. Emergency crews worked to restore electricity and clear downed trees, while further rainfall triggered flood watches in some regions.

  • Texas A&M dominates LSU 49-25 in Baton Rouge
    The Texas A&M Aggies beat the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge, improving to 8-0. Quarterback Marcel Reed threw for two touchdowns and ran for another two, helping propel the Aggies toward their best start since 1992.
