3.5 Million Lights Are About to Transform Sugar Land—And You’ve Got to See This

Get ready to step into a holiday wonderland. Sugar Land Holiday Lights is back for its 12th year with millions of dazzling light displays, Santa Claus, a brand new 9-hole mini golf course, a carnival, a synthetic ice rink, vendors, and food at Constellation Field from November 21 through January 4.

This isn’t just a drive-by light show. The sparkling wonderland features 3.5 million lights, a dazzling 40-foot light-up tree, light shows, and numerous themed displays. You walk through the entire ballpark and experience something new around every corner.

What You’ll Actually Do There

Start with Santa—he’s there every night through December 23. Then hit the new mini golf course (it comes with your ticket). Walk through eight different themed areas, each one more magical than the last. The centerpiece is that massive 40-foot animated Christmas tree that’s synced to music and lights up the entire field.

If the kids need to burn off energy, the carnival runs November 28 through January 1 with rides and games. Want to ice skate? The synthetic ice rink is available every night with admission sold separately.

Grab food, find the perfect gift at local vendor booths, warm up by the fire pits, and take photos with your crew against the glowing backdrop.

Pro Tips

Once you’re in, you can stay as long as you want during operating hours. Bring a jacket—December nights get chilly. The site has plenty of places to sit down if you need a break. This is a walk-through event, so wear comfortable shoes.

This is the kind of holiday tradition worth starting. Whether you’ve got little kids in tow or you’re looking for a magical night out, Sugar Land Holiday Lights delivers the wonder.
