Classic Cars, Live Music, and a Great Cause in Bee Cave

Imagine strolling past a gleaming 1936 Ford coupe, then turning the corner to find a Knight Rider replica parked next to a mint-condition muscle car. That’s what’s waiting for you at the Hill Country Galleria.

The Rolling Sculpture Car Show returns for its 18th year, bringing over 200 collector cars, hot rods, exotics, and even art cars to the streets of Bee Cave. This isn’t some stuffy classic car event where you can only look from behind velvet ropes. You can walk right up to these machines, talk to their owners, and soak in automotive history while enjoying live music and browsing shops.

The best part? Admission is completely free.

More Than Just Shiny Metal

Since 2008, this car show has become a Bee Cave tradition that keeps giving back. Every dollar raised—over $114,000 so far—goes to the Friends of Bee Cave Public Library.

That money funds college scholarships for teen volunteers who’ve dedicated time to the library. It underwrites literacy programs for young children and lifelong learning for adults. It supports the Books and Bees Festival that brings authors, education, and family fun to the community each year.

“The Rolling Sculpture Car Show has been a real difference-maker for us,” says Library Director Barbara Hathaway. “There are never enough funds to meet all the needs of a library growing as fast as Bee Cave’s.”

What You’ll See This Year

Over 200 vehicles will line Hill Country Boulevard and the surrounding streets. Expect collector cars from every era—antiques that pre-date your grandparents, muscle cars from the glory days of American horsepower, foreign sports cars that turn heads, street rods with custom paint jobs, and modern exotics that cost more than most houses.

New this year: CesiumAstro, Bee Cave’s own aerospace communications company, is displaying a 1936 Ford 5-Window Coupe among other vehicles. The Lakeway Police Foundation brings a Knight Rider replica from the classic 1980s TV show plus an MRAP military vehicle.

Covert Bee Cave returns as signature sponsor with brand new vehicles displayed in front of the library alongside the classics. Dozens of trophies will be awarded to registered car owners throughout the day.

Entertainment Beyond the Cars

The Clutch Kings perform live music while you explore. Kids can race free Matchbox-style cars at the “Bee Cave Speedway” on the east side of City Hall—one per child while supplies last, and they get to take it home.

Halloween Trunk-or-Treat returns for a second year at the west end of the Galleria near Dillard’s. Bring the kids in costumes for free candy from multiple sponsors.

The Bee Cave Farmers Market runs alongside the car show, so you can pick up fresh local goods while admiring vintage machinery. Hill Country Galleria’s restaurants and shops stay open all day.

Bring Your Own Rolling Sculpture

Own a collector car, hot rod, or unique vehicle? Registration closed on Eventbrite, but the show welcomes cars the day of the event. Show car parking starts at 10:00 a.m. All registration fees and donations benefit the library.

Awards go out to registered vehicles in multiple categories. Whether you drive a pristine restoration or a wild custom creation, you’ll find fellow enthusiasts who appreciate the work you’ve put into your ride.

Rain or Shine, the Show Goes On

Texas weather doesn’t stop this event. The show runs rain or shine, so plan to come regardless of the forecast. The Galleria offers covered areas if you need a break from the elements.

Park in the Hill Country Galleria parking areas. Arrive early for the best viewing spots near City Hall and the library, where the densest concentration of vehicles typically gathers.

Spectators can wander freely among the cars from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Talk to owners, take photos, and let your kids get up close to automotive history.

Supporting Your Community Library

Every car registered, every sponsor dollar, every donation goes straight to the Friends of Bee Cave Public Library. This nonprofit has used car show funds to create real impact—scholarships that send kids to college, programs that teach children to love reading, and community events that bring neighbors together.

The library is currently proposing a new 18,500-square-foot building with private study rooms, a multipurpose space, outdoor reading areas, and dedicated parking. Money from events like the Rolling Sculpture Car Show helps make ambitious library projects possible.
