Free event for ages 12-26 takes on special meaning as attendees honor Charlie Kirk’s legacy
This isn’t your typical political conference. On September 19-20, The Woodlands becomes the epicenter of conservative youth engagement as the Texas Youth Summit returns with an unprecedented lineup of speakers and a mission that’s more urgent than ever.
Founded by Christian Collins in 2019, this annual gathering has grown into Texas’s most significant platform for educating young people on conservative principles and American values. But this year carries special weight – the summit will honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder who was tragically killed on September 10, 2025.
A Memorial and a Movement
Friday night will feature worship and tributes to Charlie Kirk from those who knew him best, including Allie Beth Stuckey, Alex Clark, and Senator Ted Cruz. Founder Christian Collins will share “how we can all pick up Charlie’s bloody mic and keep fighting the good fight.”
The summit will have “unprecedented security” in place following Kirk’s death, ensuring this year’s event is the most secure they’ve ever held.
Star-Studded Conservative Lineup
This year’s speaker roster reads like a who’s who of conservative politics and media:
Political Heavyweights:
- Senator Ted Cruz – Texas Senator and constitutional conservative leader
- Congressman Wesley Hunt – West Point grad, Army veteran, and Texas Representative
- Congressman Chip Roy – Texas Representative
- Rep. Anna Paulina Luna – U.S. Representative (video appearance)
- Mayra Flores – Former U.S. Representative and first Mexican-born woman elected to Congress

The Mission Behind the Movement
According to founder Christian Collins, the summit addresses what he sees as a critical need: “America is being lost because our culture is being shaped in the minds of our youth by those who seek to fundamentally change the American way.” The summit aims to counter this by promoting principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, limited government, American exceptionalism, and Judeo-Christian values.
As Collins said at a recent vigil: “It may not be the same as fighting a war in Afghanistan, but what we’re in right now is an ideological, cultural war for the heart and soul of our culture. And we have to win. Truth has to win.”
About the Founder
Christian Collins brings serious credentials to this mission. A University of Texas government graduate with dual master’s degrees from Liberty University, he’s worked on major campaigns including Senator Ted Cruz’s team and served as campaign manager for Congressman Kevin Brady.
In 2022, Collins ran for Congress in Texas’ 8th District. He currently serves as an adjunct instructor at Lone Star College, hosts “The Christian Collins Show” podcast, and was recognized with Maverick PAC’s 2024 “Future 40” Award as one of the nation’s top young conservative leaders under 40.
Why This Matters Now
Following Kirk’s death, Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the formation of committees to study bias and free speech at universities, “honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk”. The timing makes this summit more than just an educational event – it’s a rallying cry for conservative youth engagement.
Since 2019, the Texas Youth Summit has positioned itself as a counter-narrative to liberal influence in education and youth culture, operating under the Texas Youth Foundation 501(c)(3) and bringing together influential political and religious leaders.
