Everything’s Bigger in Texas: Goodguys Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals Rolls Into Fort Worth

Over 2,500 hot rods, customs, and classics take over Texas Motor Speedway for the 33rd year running, with AutoCross racing, a giant swap meet, and a shot at riding in a real stock car.

Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth, TX — October 2-3, 2026

Everything really is bigger in Texas, and that includes car shows. The Goodguys 33rd Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals takes over Texas Motor Speedway, located at 3545 Lone Star Circle in Fort Worth, for two full days of hot rodding on a scale few other events in the country can match.

Running Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, the event packs more than 2,500 vehicles into the speedway’s infield, covering 1999-and-older hot rods, trucks, customs, muscle cars, and classics. It’s one of the signature stops on the national Goodguys circuit, and the Texas crowd shows up in force every year to prove it.

Beyond the sea of show cars, there’s genuine action to watch and take part in. The Goodguys AutoCross racing series runs throughout the weekend, headlined by the Summit Racing “Big Hoss Shootout,” giving spectators a chance to see these classics actually driven hard rather than just parked and polished. For something a little different, guests can even grab a ride in a Team Texas stock car, a rare chance to feel what real racing speed is like from the passenger seat.

Shopping is just as big a draw as the cars themselves. The Summit Racing Super Shopping Experience gives attendees a massive marketplace of parts, tools, and accessories, while a sprawling swap meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral give buyers and sellers a direct line to each other, perfect for anyone hunting a specific part or looking to finally sell that project car sitting in the garage.

Tickets run $27 online in advance or $30 at the gate for general admission, ages 13 and up, covering both Friday and Saturday.

Whether you’re a lifelong hot rod enthusiast or just want to see thousands of beautifully restored classics in one place, Goodguys Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals gives North Texas one of its biggest automotive weekends of the fall.

Address: Texas Motor Speedway, 3545 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth, TX 76177
Website: good-guys.com/lsn
Tickets: Available through the Goodguys website or at the gate
