Ready for a cultural adventure that won’t cost you a penny? The Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s Fall Festival is transforming the Brown Foundation Plaza into a vibrant celebration of powerful women from myths, legends, and Latin American history – and your whole family is invited!

This isn’t your typical museum event. We’re talking live music, traditional dance performances, delicious food, and hands-on art activities that’ll have you creating alongside Houston’s most talented artists.

What Makes This Festival Special

Six Houston Latinx artists have created stunning large-scale sculptures specifically for this festival, showcasing the Museum’s deep commitment to Latin American, Latino, and Indigenous American art. These aren’t permanent pieces – they’re here just for this celebration, making your visit truly one-of-a-kind.

The festival spotlights “Mujeres” – women who’ve shaped stories and cultures across Latin America. You’ll discover powerful female figures through art, music, and interactive experiences that bring their legends to life.

Your Festival Experience

Lotería with a Twist: Play the beloved Latin American bingo game using cards featuring actual MFAH artworks. It’s education disguised as pure fun – your kids won’t even realize they’re learning about museum collections!

Sculpture Garden Adventure: Wander through the Cullen Sculpture Garden where art-making stations let you create your own masterpieces inspired by the festival themes.

Cultural Immersion: Authentic food, live music performances, and traditional dance bring the spirit of Latin American celebrations right to Houston.

Museum Exploration: Your festival ticket gets you free access to the entire museum, where you can explore 5,000 years of art spanning six continents.
