Your Game Plan

Arrive early. Seriously—these aren’t small giveaways, but when you’re talking about 500 to 1,000 turkeys, neighborhoods show up in force. Bring a cooler if you’ve got errands to run afterward. Check if you need to register (Higher Dimension Church and some others require it). And if you’re driving up to grab one, make sure you’ve got space in your vehicle.

Most of these organizations run on community donations and volunteer power, so a simple thank you goes a long way. They’re not just handing out food—they’re making sure families sit down together on Thanksgiving, and that matters.
