Boots, disco balls, cacti, and 30 years of Play Frisco — the Texiest Texas celebration comes to Frisco Heritage Center on June 18 from 6 to 10 p.m. as part of America’s 250th birthday season.
If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to dust off your best boots and two-step into summer, Frisco just handed you one. Texiest Texas is coming to the Frisco Heritage Center on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. — a one-of-a-kind evening that combines everything that makes Texas great with a healthy dose of neon, disco, and pure Lone Star pride.
Presented by Play Frisco — the City of Frisco’s parks and recreation department — this event is part of two milestone celebrations happening simultaneously. It marks 30 Years of Play for the Frisco parks system, and it is part of the America 250 commemorations honoring the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence. That combination means this is not just a summer party. It is a moment.
What Is Texiest Texas?
The name says it all — and the imagery says even more. A glittering cowboy boot adorned with a disco ball, a neon cactus, and all the sparkle of a Texas summer night. Texiest Texas is built around the idea that nobody does Texas quite like Texas — and that celebrating it should feel as bold and joyful as the state itself.
The Frisco Heritage Center is a historical park where visitors can experience Frisco’s past, present, and future through the Frisco Heritage Museum, historic buildings, a steam locomotive, a wooden caboose, and more. Setting a Texas-themed celebration in this venue adds a layer of authenticity that a convention center simply can’t match — you’re surrounded by the real history of Frisco and North Texas while celebrating everything the state has become. America 250 — A Summer of National Celebration
Texiest Texas arrives in the middle of America’s 250th anniversary year — a milestone that Frisco has been marking throughout 2026 with a full calendar of heritage and civic events. The Liberty Lantern Trail in April, heritage programming throughout the spring, and now a midsummer celebration that puts Texas front and center in the national birthday season.
Play Frisco has been serving Frisco’s residents for 30 years — building parks, programming community events, and creating the recreational infrastructure that has helped make Frisco one of the fastest-growing and most livable cities in the United States. Texiest Texas is the anniversary party that celebrates all of it.
Plan Your Evening
The Frisco Heritage Center sits just north of downtown Frisco and is easily accessible from the Dallas North Tollway corridor. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. — four hours of Texas celebration, live entertainment, food, and the kind of community energy that Frisco events consistently deliver.
