September just got a whole lot more exciting! The Dallas Police Department Northeast Neighborhood Police Officers are throwing the city’s second annual Moon Fest, and it’s shaping up to be the cultural celebration Dallas has been waiting for.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 6, 1:00-7:00 PM at Flag Pole Hill Park (8015 Doran Circle). Six hours of authentic food, incredible performances, family activities, and zero admission cost – yes, you read that right, it’s completely FREE!

What Makes This Festival Special

This event celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival, a deeply rooted tradition in many Asian cultures, honoring the harvest season and family gatherings. Think of it as Dallas’s way of bringing centuries-old Asian traditions right to your backyard with a Texas twist.

The festival celebrates what moon festivals have always been about: bringing communities together to honor the harvest season and strengthen family bonds. Now Dallas gets to be part of this beautiful tradition.

Your Day of Delicious Adventures

Authentic Asian Street Food: We’re talking the real deal – street snacks, traditional desserts, and flavors that’ll transport you straight to Asia. Come hungry because you’ll want to try everything.

Live Cultural Performances: Music, dance, and martial arts demonstrations that showcase the incredible diversity of Asian cultures. These aren’t just shows – they’re cultural experiences.

Hands-On Family Fun: Lantern-making workshops, traditional games, and activities designed to get everyone involved, from toddlers to grandparents.

Local Vendors: Browse unique crafts, art, and souvenirs from local Asian businesses and artisans.

What You Need to Know Right Now

When: Saturday, September 6, 2025, 1:00-7:00 PM
Where: Flag Pole Hill Park, 8015 Doran Circle, Dallas
Cost: FREE (seriously, no hidden fees)
Parking: Free at the park, plus additional spots at nearby Norbuck Park and White Rock DART Station

Pro tip: Bring lawn chairs or a blanket! The park has limited seating, so you’ll want to get comfortable for this six-hour cultural journey.

This Is Your Community Coming Together

The festival is presented by the Dallas Police Department Northeast NPO Unit, City Councilwoman Kathy Stewart (District 10), and community partners who understand that Dallas’s strength comes from celebrating our incredible diversity.

Want to get more involved? They’re still looking for volunteers to help with setup, guest assistance, and vendor coordination. You can sign up online or contact [email protected].

Why You Can’t Miss This

Last year’s inaugural festival proved that Dallas is hungry for authentic cultural experiences that bring people together. This year promises to be even bigger, with more food, more performances, and more opportunities to discover the rich traditions that make our city special.

Feel free to bring your lawn chairs and relax on the grass as you enjoy the festivities. It’s the kind of community event where you’ll bump into neighbors, make new friends, and leave feeling more connected to the amazing cultural tapestry that is Dallas.

No tickets required, no age restrictions, just show up ready to experience something beautiful. September 6 can’t get here fast enough!
