LAREDO, TEXAS — Calling all pet lovers and adventure seekers! Grab your running shoes—and your pup—because the city is going to the dogs on Saturday, June 21 for the inaugural Mutt Mud Run, a fun-filled, muddy competition made for canines and their humans.

Held at 5202 Maher Ave, this one-of-a-kind event invites participants to team up with their furry companions for a muddy obstacle course designed to test agility, spirit, and teamwork—all in good fun.

Only the first 50 registrants will secure a spot in the race, and those lucky enough to make the cut will receive participation medals 🏅 and a chance to take home some top dog honors:

  • 🏆 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Trophies

  • 🏆 Best Dressed Pup & Partner

  • 🏆 Best Effort Award

“It’s going to be a high-energy, tail-wagging good time,” said event organizers. “Whether you’re racing for the win or just in it for the laughs, it’s a great opportunity to bond with your pet and the community.”

Spectators Welcome
You don’t need to compete to be part of the fun. Friends, family, and dog lovers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and cheer on the muddy competitors from the sidelines.

Stay Cool and Hydrated
With summer temps expected to soar, organizers remind all attendees—both human and canine—to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade.

How to Register
Scan the QR code on promotional flyers around town or contact the event team directly at (956) 625-1860 for more details. Space is limited and spots are going fast!

Don’t miss out on a chance to get dirty, have fun, and make unforgettable memories with your four-legged best friend. 🐾
