WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced this week the arrests of five men, each previously convicted of serious crimes in the United States, as part of the agency’s ongoing enforcement operations targeting immigrants without legal status who have criminal records.

According to ICE, the five individuals arrested include convictions ranging from aggravated manslaughter to child sex offenses to large-scale drug trafficking. All five arrests took place outside of Texas, in California, New Jersey, and Idaho.

According to the agency:

Reinaldo Fuentes-Jimenez, a Mexican national, was arrested following a conviction for aggravated manslaughter in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Jorge Heriberto Garcia-Zavalza, a Mexican national, was arrested following a conviction for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in Stockton, California.

Jose Manuel Polanco-Campos, a Guatemalan national, was arrested following convictions for rape by use of drugs and evading a peace officer in Los Angeles.

Roberto Bravo-Camacho, a Mexican national, was arrested following three convictions for video voyeurism involving nonconsensual publication and dissemination, as well as attempted destruction of evidence, in Teton County, Idaho.

Ramon Gomez-Ledesma, a Mexican national, was arrested following convictions for transport and sale of narcotics, possession of cocaine base for sale, vehicle theft, and conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine in California.

ICE did not release additional details about the dates of the underlying convictions, sentences served, or the current custody status of the individuals arrested.

“Yesterday, ICE arrested murderers, pedophiles, sexual predators, drug traffickers, and other criminal illegal aliens convicted of heinous crimes,” Acting Assistant DHS Secretary Lauren Bis said in a statement. “Thanks to President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, ICE is supercharged with 12,000 new law enforcement officers to remove the worst of the worst from American communities. Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S.”

Anyone with information about criminal activity involving immigration violations can report tips to ICE by calling 1-866-347-2423.
