A Castle Transformed for Christmas
Chateau Nouvelle turns into Houston’s most spectacular holiday experience from November 25-29. This isn’t your typical church bazaar with a dozen trees. We’re talking about hundreds of decorated Christmas trees inside an actual castle with 30 years of European antiques and hand-painted Italian murals.
Your kids can meet Santa (he’s there 10 AM to 6 PM), ride the Polar Express train, and explore something mysterious called “Iceland.” Local performance groups fill the castle with music. Chad Robichaux survived eight tours in Afghanistan but almost didn’t survive coming home. PTSD nearly made him another veteran suicide statistic. Instead, he started Mighty Oaks Foundation to help other warriors find their way back.
They run free five-day programs at ranches where veterans help veterans heal. No therapy-speak. No clinical settings. Just men and women who understand combat trauma showing others how to live again.
