Sundresses, Floppy Hats & Giving Back: The Hill Country Day Trip Houston Needs
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Houston ladies, this is the day trip that’ll restore your faith in sisterhood and remind you why Texas is so special. The Wanderlust Amigas are organizing a winery day trip to Coordinates Vineyard in Hye, Texas that’s about so much more than wine tasting – it’s about showing up for our Hill Country neighbors when they need us most.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 13th, because this is how you turn a perfect day of wine and friendship into something that actually makes a difference.

Beauty With Purpose

This trip started as a celebration of sisterhood – a chance to dress up in your favorite sundress and floppy hat, sip wine in the gorgeous Hill Country, and create those dreamy vineyard photos that make everyone jealous of your weekend. And you’ll still get all of that magic.

But now it’s become something even more meaningful. Recent flooding in the Fredericksburg/Hye area has impacted the families, farms, and small businesses that make the Hill Country the special place we all love to visit. The Wanderlust Amigas decided to shift the soul of this trip to “Giving Back to the Hill Country” while keeping all the joyful spirit of sunshine, style, and sisterhood.

Your Perfect Hill Country Day

The adventure starts early but in the most civilized way possible. You’ll meet up at 7:30 AM to board your private charter bus from Houston – complete with light refreshments to start your day right. No worrying about designated drivers or Hill Country traffic – just settle in with your fellow adventurers and watch Texas roll by your window.

By noon, you’ll arrive at Coordinates Vineyard Farmhouse in Hye for four hours of pure Hill Country bliss. The agenda includes a mixed tasting of two white wines and two red wines (a $25 value), but that’s just the beginning. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the beautiful vineyard, enjoy food from an on-site food truck (food cost not included in ticket), take those Instagram-worthy photos, and most importantly, connect with amazing women who believe in using their weekend for good.

Plus, there’s a bonus shopping opportunity! Coordinates Vineyard has arranged for a local jewelry vendor to be on-site, so you can sip wine while browsing custom pieces – the perfect combination of retail therapy and wine therapy.

At 4:00 PM, you’ll load back onto the charter bus for the return trip to Houston, arriving by 8:00 PM with a heart full of memories and the satisfaction of knowing your fun day made a real difference.

Why This Trip Will Change Your Perspective

Because women show up. Because travel isn’t just about taking — it’s about connecting. And because even a day trip can be an opportunity to make a difference.

This is still a day for sisterhood, self-care, and celebration — but now, it’s wrapped in something deeper. So yes — wear the sundress. Yes — rock the hat. And yes — let’s turn this vineyard day into something unforgettable.

It’s not just a wine tour — it’s a celebration of sisterhood, joy, and well-deserved indulgence. Whether you’re sipping chardonnay or embracing the beauty of the vineyard, this day is all about YOU. Best of all, we drive, you relax.

Take photos in your favorite sundress and floppy hat. Join the group at the huge table for pictures, conversations, and wine. There will be a food truck on-site just for you, so you can indulge in delicious food while soaking up the Hill Country atmosphere.

The Complete Experience

Your ticket includes everything you need for the perfect day: round-trip transportation in that private charter bus, the mixed wine tasting, time to explore and unwind, light refreshments for the journey, and a fun, friendly host to guide your adventure.

The suggested outfit? Your favorite sundress paired with a floppy hat for those fabulous vineyard photos. This is your chance to embrace that dreamy, romantic Hill Country aesthetic while doing something meaningful for the community.

Don’t Wait – Space is Limited!

Grab your seat now and join other fabulous women ready to sip, laugh, and connect. With limited spots available on the charter bus, this intimate experience fills up fast.

Ticket Options:

  • Regular Seating: $115.00 per person
  • VIP Seating: $125.00 per person (2nd, 3rd, and 4th row with gift bag included)

The Wanderlust Amigas have planned this trip well in advance and are offering payment plans to make it easier for you to secure your spot.

This is the kind of day trip that reminds you why living in Texas is so incredible. We have stunning landscapes like the Hill Country, we have amazing local businesses creating memorable experiences, and we have communities that show up for each other when times get tough.

Why This Matters Right Now

The Hill Country isn’t just a weekend destination – it’s home to real people building real lives and businesses. When natural disasters hit these communities, they need more than thoughts and prayers. They need visitors who choose to spend their money there, support local businesses, and contribute directly to recovery efforts.

By joining this trip, you’re not just treating yourself to a beautiful day out. You’re actively participating in the Hill Country’s recovery while building connections with women who share your values of fun with purpose.

Your Next Adventure Awaits

Whether you’re looking to make new friends, support flood recovery efforts, or just need a perfect excuse to wear that sundress and floppy hat you’ve been saving, this trip delivers on every level.

The Hill Country is calling, and it needs us to show up – not just as tourists, but as neighbors who care about the communities that make our state so special. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is have a beautiful day while helping others rebuild theirs.
