Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s “The Greatest Show On Earth” kicks off its Houston run that very same week, running August 6 through 9 at NRG Stadium with multiple performances daily. This reimagined production no longer features live animals, instead delivering a two-hour, high-energy show packed with trapeze artists, gravity-defying acrobatics, and other world-class talent. The circus brand itself has been touring for more than a century, and ever since the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey circuses merged their traveling shows back in 1919, it carried its famous nickname as “The Greatest Show On Earth.”

Texas gets an especially big dose of the circus this year.
