HOUSTON, TX – The National Museum of Funeral History (NMFH) invites visitors to experience the Shroud of Turin Exhibit, an exploration of one of the most intriguing relics in history. Featuring a certified replica provided by the Archdiocese of Turin, this exhibit offers visitors a deep dive into the Shroud’s enigmatic history and the scientific research surrounding it.

A Secular Perspective on a Sacred Artifact

The Shroud of Turin is believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus Christ, while others argue it is a medieval creation.

According to Olivia Land from the New York Post, a recent X-ray analysis supports the claim that the Shroud of Turin dates back to Christ’s time, reigniting interest in its authenticity as Jesus’ burial cloth. Once thought to be a medieval forgery, recent findings suggest the relic is over 2,000 years old. This revelation has allowed artificial intelligence to generate a stunning, lifelike image of Jesus based on the shroud’s markings—depicting what some believe to be the moment of resurrection.

The exhibit at NMFH provides visitors a different perspective, combining historical accounts, scientific research, and cultural significance. Guests are encouraged to explore the evidence and form their own conclusions about the “Man of the Shroud.”
